A man was seriously injured in a shooting Thursday evening in Allentown, city police reported.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting about 5:38 p.m. near Seventh and Chew streets, according to a police news release. When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound.
Officers gave first aid and the man was brought to a hospital with “serious” injuries.
Police asked anyone with information or who may have witnessed the shooting to contact the Criminal Investigation division at 610-437-7721 or make an anonymous tip through the Allentown Police Tip411 site.
Police did not release any further information Thursday.
